Current opening on the Board of Directors
The Arcade Creek Recreation and Park District currently has an opening on its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is the governing body of the District.
ACRPD is an “Independent Special District” created by the districts constituents to meet specific park and recreation service needs for the local community. (CA Government Code 54950)
An independent special district is governed by its own board of directors who are elected by voters. If a board opening occurs, the current board may appoint a qualified individual. The public expects the Board of Directors to apply their values and good judgment to the challenges brought in the exercise of the District’s purpose.
The Board shall act only at its meetings which are properly noticed in accordance with The Brown Act.
Board members will be appointed to serve on District committees. Committees research topics and make recommendations to the full Board of Directors at regular meetings.
